Hi Kalpesh,

I am using a Solaris 8 and already I am setting my heap size as 800. This same issue doesn’t occur when I am generating the same reports individially.

Regards,

Sandhya

You may require to increase the memory available to your JVM using the -Xmx switch when you launch java.exe.

Have you recompiled jasper designs with new Jasper 0.5.2 ?

Subject: [jasperreports-questions] Out Of Memory using Jasper 0.5.2

Hi,

I recently upgraded to Jasper 0.5.2. After upgrading I am facing out of memory exception when trying to generate 4 different PDFs each of 500 pages each. Previosly I was using Jasper 0.4.6 and the same was working fine. I am working with Weblogic 7.0 SP1 and JDK 1.3. I am using JasperFillManager.fillReport() for filling the jasper template and JasperExportManager.exportReportToPdfFile() for exporting the same into a PDF file.

Is there any issue with Jasper 0.5.2 for releasing memory after filling the jasper object and after exporting it to PDF file.

Any help in this matter will be of great help.

Regards,

Sandhya
