I plan to solve a rota-construction problem by using JaCoP, the problem will involve lots of variables.
Does JaCoP has any limitations on number of variables when searching a solution? In other words, how many variables are allowed when modeling a problem? Also, can JaCoP finds all solutions for a problem, even the number of solutions is thousands or more?
Thank you for any responses!
JaCoP has no limitation on the number of variables. The limitation is the JVM memory size that you can change with JVM options.
JaCoP will try to find all solutions regardless of their number. You can store them (it consumes memory) or only report them in the print-out.
I hope I answered your questions.
Yes! Your response is very helpful!
Thank you Kris!
