Hi, I'm not entirely sure if this is the problem you are describing, but I remember something from some tinkering before trying to get the download from URL functionality working in JabRef. If your problem is that you need to store and resend a session cookie from the server (the type of cookie that allows servers to track users through webpages) then you need to look at the CookieManager class, which provides this functionality for you.
