    Hello,

we are using openSCADA which uses jinterop for DCOM access to various OPC servers. Now our customer disallows NTLMv1 authentication so the domain login fails.

There are two different options which we are considering:
    - Use Kerberos Authentication instead of NTLMv1
    - Use no authentication (The Rockwell OPC Client doesn't need an Username/Password to access the OPC Server)

The library currently uses j-Interop verison 2.01-RC6. Is there support for kerberos in newer or current (3.0) versions? How can we investigate these problem?

    Thanks in advance,
    Florian Probst

    • Hi Florian,

We have no plans to support Kerberos (unless someone sponsors its
development). If I may suggest you go for NTLMv2 with Session Security.
(JISession.useNTLMv2, useSessionSecurity). Hopefully your client will allow
      this.

      thanks,
      best regards,
      Vikram
