We are running an install tool written in java. The user running the program could be different at different times but they have admin privileges. What I want to do is use the currently logged in user to create my J-Interop server. I don't want to require the users to provide a username and password again. Can I just create a server / session with a null username and password? I will only ever be accessing the dcom server on localhost.

    Thanks in advance

    • Hi Nic,

Since this is a local install tool (always running on Windows), I suggest
you use jacob for this. That library is JNI based and does not need
      credentials.

      thanks,
      best regards,
