I haven't had to compile someone else's library yet, so maybe I'm missing something obvious here. I've downloaded IT++ and found that it comes with Visual Studio solution files. I opened one of them (MKL one) and it worked. I tried to build and it started generating lots of errors of the following kind:
    - itexports.h file is missing (only itexports.h.cmake file exists)
    - error C1021: invalid preprocessor command 'cmakedefine'

It must be I'm missing something obvious, because never in the help files does it say I have to do something special to compile IT++ in VS. Or have I missed it?

    Pleaese help me.

Currently IT++ uses cmake for generating Visual Studio projects. The old projects are still kept in the source tree but they are no longer updated. Please have a look at:
    http://itpp.sourceforge.net/4.3.1/installation.html#inst_instr_cmake

Ah, I see. Thanks, it worked now that I made those projects via cmake myself.
