    Hello,
I am trying to install itpp 4.0.4 on my ubuntu 10, for this I do :
    ~$ tar -xjf itpp-4.0.4.tar.bz2
    ~$ cd itpp-4.0.4/
    ~/itpp-4.0.4$ ./configure \ --prefix=$HOME/install/itpp-4.0.4
    When I do
    ~/itpp-4.0.4$ make
    I have this response
Make: *** no targets specified and no makefile found. Stop

      Hi,

      why don't you just do

      sudo apt-get install libitpp-dev

This will give you version 4.0.7.

Otherwise, if you really need version 4.0.4 you should have a look at
the "config.log" that should indicate why the configure script failed
and why no Makefile was created. Probably you will need to install some
      required library.

      hope that helps,
      Gert

you might try the latest version from trunk that uses cmake. With cmake you need to create a folder, build, just below the source root folder, then switch to that folder and do
    cmake .. -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=$HOME/install/itpp
    make
    make install
