An attempt to instantiate template function insertion_sort
(Vec<T> &v), defined on lines 357-378 in file
src/base/matfunc.cpp, fails due to following reason:

.../it++3.6.6/src/base/matfunc.cpp:370: `j' undeclared
(first use this function)

Library: IT++ 3.6.6
Compiler: gcc 2.95.3
OS: SunOS Release 5.7

    It looks like the insertion_sort() function is some old
    obsolete piece of code.

    • There is no function declaration in the .h file
    • There is laready another sort() function based on the
      quick-sort algorithm. I don't see the point of having
      another inferior algorithm implemented.

    This code should be removed, imho.

    Since no one objected I have removed this code...
