For some peculiar reason I can no longer type # chars in iTerm sessions - nano reports 'unknown command'. Another oddity is that I can't select # chars (alt-drag) unless I also select the char next to them, though I can paste them OK. I've not changed keyboard or terminal settings (and if I do it still acts the same). It's happening across multiple servers.
I'd be interested to know what terminals and keyboards people recommend for ssh shell sessions and why.
