I have been testing OS X Lion and I have noticed that when using iTerm to view files (with vi and other editors) when managing servers that the scroll bar hides text under it.

Would it be possible to have iTerm updated to take advantage of the new UI scheme that Lion uses?

    me too.
If you activate the iTerm settings -> "window" -> "Hide scrollbar and resize control" (default disabled), then all of the text is visible. you can see the effect when you have a console full of text an switching that setting on and of repeatedly ;)

workaround for me currently is to enable that "hide scrollbar" switch, despite the fact that i'd love the scrollbar to re-apper as soon as this bug is fixed.
    Thanks in advance.
