hi, i' ve a new cellphone, a siemens cx65. to transfer data between the phone and my linux pc, i bought an usb-ir adapter with stir4200 chipset. unfortunately i cant establish a connection between both devices, neither with obex, nor with ircomm. when i try to "beam" a jpg with obex ( i run ircp -r on my linux box ) the phone says an error box with something like "error occured". when i try to connect with ircomm, the phone says nothing, but after this attempt linux cant even discover the phone ( on irdadump ) till i press any button on the phone. here is the procedure: obex: 1) run ircp -r on my linux pc 2) select some file on my phone 2) select transmit per irda 4) bring the phone in the sight range of the irda dongle then, this error msgbox appears ircomm: 1) enable irda on phone 2) lay my phone in the range of my dongle 3) on my box, i run "SLINK_DEVICE=/dev/ircomm0 slink i" the attachment is the output of irdadump and dmesg my kernel is 2.6.10-cko3 (the cko3 doesn't contain irda patches, so it should be the same irda code as with 2.6.10 vanilla. but i've set CONFIG_X86_HZ=1500, this may affect the irda stack, but i don't think the problem is there) thanks in advance, tom |
