That's not the issue. The problem is that if you have two
concurent sockets, you may receive packets on the wrong socket.

Because of the way the Linux-IrDA stack was designed to close
conformance with the spec and high performance, it's not possible to
workaround this bug. I wish we could.
The mcp2150 violates the irda spec, no questions about
it. Microchip has been informed and acknowledged this bug a few
*years* ago. This bug IMHO is trivial to fix, but unfortunately,
Microchip seems to have decided to ignore it.
Maybe someone needs to wake them up.
