sorry if this has been answered -- I just joined the list.
I bought a USB-IrDA adapter made by a company called BAFO. The model number
is BF-120. Looking at their Windows installation instructions, I see that
the adapter is identified as a SigmaTel one.
First question -- is there support for this adapter yet? Main kernel sources?
If not, is anyone working to have it supported?
And second, in the devices supported matrix at
http://mobilix.org/ir_misc.html#usb and I see a note about Sigmatel
STiR4115/4200 that says:
"no driver yet, but Tech Docs to write it, but should work anyway"
Does that mean the current irda-usb should work with this dongle?
And finally, if/when I get this working, is there a possibility that lirc
won't work? I know lirc comes with its own kernel modules.
