But it's fairly harmless, most likely. The second error is something that comes from the low-level driver. As long as it only happens once, I wouldn't worry about it. This can sometimes happen depending on the state the BIOS or the last OS operation before reboot left the SMBus in. -Corey >Thanks & Regards, >Deepa > >On Tue, 2005-06-07 at 19:30, Cress, Andrew R wrote: > > >>Deepa, >> >>If you still have problems with /dev/ipmi0 created as Corey described, >>you may have problems with the i2c_i801 mods. >>Here is the patch we applied to 2.4.21-4 (RH EL 3) for TIGPT1U OpenIPMI >>with SMBus. >>This may also help. >>http://ipmiutil.sourceforge.net/kern/linux-2.4.21-4.EL-i2c-ipmismb.patch >>.gz >> >>Andy >> >>-----Original Message----- >>From: ope...@li... >>[mailto:ope...@li...] On Behalf Of >>Corey Minyard >>Sent: Tuesday, June 07, 2005 9:35 AM >>To: de...@hc... >>Cc: ipmitool; openipmi >>Subject: [Openipmi-developer] Re: Not Getting ipmi values for 2.4.21 >>kernel >> >>Did you create /dev/ipmi0?
