question to iperf developers: on Windows (say, 2003 and/or XP) where doe iperf program gets the default TCP buffer size when it sends data (on client side)?
In TCP 3-way handshake I can can see that TCP receive window is negotiated by both sides (server and clienT) at about 64 KB, but then a sender very often reports a "send" window size at 8 KB, and indeed sends data in 8KB blocks.
And on other Windows machines it is shown as 63 KB, and then inddeed sender uses ~63 KB blocks.
I would like to know which Windows variable/parameter iperf reads to get this "send" window (and where it is located in Windows).
Thank you,
Dmitry
