BUT.... :) how do YOU upgrade from Ipcop v1.3 to Ipcop v2.4 ?? I presume that you take your ipcop from his dark cellar, make an backup diskette for your 'personal settngs' Get your Ipcop box in the daylight, connect a spare monitor and keyboard and install from a fresh branded Cdrom the new version.... hereby the new version ... allocates the entire disk.... You are right in the fact that you have to give an green IP address during insatllation... thats the problem... All other settings can be applied by remote connecting via Putty .... I am just a lazy person who would avoid stumbling the stairs to and from the cellar to upgrade all the ipcops :) (27 as by today) but thanx for your answer !! hub |
