The Makefile needs to be changed to confirm to the
Linux Kernel format for building kernel modules
and link objects.

Loading intel_iscsi.o under kernel 2.2.16-3
yields many unresolved symbols:

# insmod intel_iscsi.o
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol sock_alloc
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol __wake_up
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol sock_sendmsg
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol schedule
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol __global_cli
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol scsi_unregister_module
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol scsi_register
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol vfree
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol sleep_on
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol vmalloc
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol sock_recvmsg
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol scsi_register_module
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol sock_create
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol in_aton
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol sprintf
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol jiffies
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol printk
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol kernel_thread
intel_iscsi.o: unresolved symbol __global_sti

Yes, you're right. The next release of the code should
