after booting with a modified boot.ini I get
try (hd0,0): invalid or null
try (hd0,1): invalid or null
try (hd0,2): invalid or null
try (hd0,3): invalid or null
try (fd0): invalid or null
what does this message mean
it means that it cant read from hd0
please post your boot.ini
do you have sata or scsi drives?
I have SATA RAID (ICH8R)
It seems that grub4dos is trying to access an ide disk instead of a scsi disk...
One thing that you could try is to edit the c:\menu.lst and change (hd0,0) for (sd0,0).
I also have a SATA RAID and a mobo using the Intel ICH8R. I tried changing hd0,0 to sd0,0 in menu.lst but I still get the error messages about hd0.
I'm having the same problem with the same hardware - SATA RAID and a motherboard using
the ICH8R. I edited menu.lst to sd0,0 but I still got the same error. I just tried using sda0,0 instead and also got the same error.
