The Scribus Team is pleased to announce the release of Scribus 184.108.40.206
This release is purely a further bug fix release to the recently
This release adds more translation updates, some bugs were found and=20
fixed, many improvements to the SVG importer. A new splash screen and=20
other artwork were contributed by Kevin Young.
One of two major additions to this release is the porting of Scribus=20
to OS/2 by Paul Smedley. This port is lightly tested and there are=20
some known issues noted in the readme for OS/2, along with notes on=20
installation. No major code changes were required and in testing it=20
has been fairly stable.
The other is the availability of a new OpenSuse rpm download=20
repository for all Suse versions 9.3+, including SLED 10. To download=20
add: http://software.opensuse.org/download/home:/mrdocs/ to your=20
yast/apt/smart source list for the corresponding Suse version. We=20
hope have this for Mandriva and Fedora 5+ shortly.=20
As we announced previously, there will be no more development or bug=20
fixes to 1.2.x series. We now recommend all distributions package=20
only Scribus 1.3.3.x
