In the month view of PloneiCalendar the items are
shown in alphabetic order rather than cronological
order...at least from what I've been able to gather.

It may be just that when an item carries over from the
previous day that the month view gets confused.

ie:
ItemB - Tues 5:00pm to Wed 8:00am
ItemA - Wed 1:00pm to Thursday 4:00am

Results:
Tues cell shows correctly with just
ItemB
Wed cell shows items incorrectly with items in this order
ItemA
ItemB (should be item B then item A)
Thurs cell shows correctly with just
Item A

    Yes i agree.
Infact event are listed like in moz calendar.

If we'd like to do put item A after item B in wed cell, for
event matching reason, we had to place item A in thurs cell
in front of item A in wed cell. (so first line of wed should
    be blank)

For the instant it is not planned to do work on this.

But if you want to have a try, any help is welcomed ;)
