As reported in this article in the mailing list:

thread_id=4526559&forum_id=10565

Informa does not handle html entities like ü and
instead throws an exception. Niko provided a way to
modify the source code to change that, but changing
the library's source code is not a viable long term
solution. This needs to be fixed in the API so that it can
be supported without a user having to modify the
library.

    Actually, I withdraw this RFE. After much work at looking at
    alternatives and trying to work around the issue, I see that
    this really is not a deficiency in Informa, but an invalid RSS
    document.

    I talked to the feed provider and got them to fix their bug.
