I just wanted to share this with everybody. Basically, Lycos Europe has
selected IlohaMail to be made available to their hosting customers
through their "auto install tool". They currently offer 20 PHP apps,
and IlohaMail is one of 20 that will be added at the end of this month.
Great way to start the year for IlohaMail!

Subject: Demand for redistribution of your software
My name is Sebastien Fiquemont and I work at Lycos Europe on the 1Click!
As you perhaps know, we are providing hosting solutions in Europe (7
countries), where we operate Tripod, Multimania and WebCenter brands. We
host actually more than 3 million active customers or users (Tripod and
Multimania are free platforms, All offers are hosted on Linux platforms,
with MySQL and PHP).
To make life easier to our customers, we developed a home made tool
that will enable them to install PHP software / scripts in just one
click. This tool is currently available on our paying platform
(WebCenter). We selected GPL software on the web, and we adapted them to
allow their 'auto installatio'n through our installation tool. We
already have 20 scripts available and we plan to release 20 more at the
beginning of 2005.
We are very enthusiastic to adapt Ilohamail in the OneclickSite for this
I wanted to inform you about this, would like to know if you are OK that
we use your script (I think you''ll be, as you put it under GPL
licence), and if you would have any recommendation for us.
This script seems to work well on our plateform, so it'll not be a
problem for us to use it.
You can reach me at sebastien.fiquemont@... or reach the
entire developpement team at dev@... Don't hesitate if you
have any questions. :)

I think that's fantastic news! These install tools are great
advertisments because they reassure people who are new OSS that
applications like Ilohamail can be relied on. While I'm not new to open
source, I still decided to install Wordpress for my blog because it had
been listed in CPanel's Fantastico :-)
It's a shame CPanel comes with Neomail, Horde and Squirrelmail already,
otherwise I'd suggest approaching the Fantastico team to get it listed
there. IMO Ilohamail is superior to these three clients, but I'm not
sure how many users would be disappointed in those clients enough to
