Jeroen, Thanks. So, that won't work for me then. I am more of a dot.net developer so please bear with me on one more java question. Ikvm.exe can run any normal java.jar app correct? If so, would it be possible to trick an application into using ikvm instead of the java VM? I am just taking a shot here. Is there anything that a jar file has in it that says "I can only be run by Java VM". Could ikvm be slipped into the place of java vm and handle everything just as java vm would? As a developer myself, I am in no way saying this is a good idea for production systems. But what I am trying to do just needs to run on a single workstation. I don't care if java breaks for everything else as long as I can get this application running. IKVM only allows the use of Java code on Mono and .NET, not the other way around. ikvmstub only generates stub classes (that contain no actual code, just the metadata). This stub classes are used to compile your code against, but not at run time. Regards, Jeroen |
