WARNING! installing config files as root! It is strongly recommended to run privoxy as a non-root user, and to install the config files as that user and/or group! Please read INSTALL, and create a privoxy user and group! ******************************************************************* make: *** [install] Error 1 root@host:/home/william/downloads/privoxy-3.0.3-stable# I have no idea as to what to do about this. Help? 2- I had privoxy successfully installed on Slackware 10.2, with advice from a webpage (url now lost), on how to create the user and group the right way. IIRC it involved the words "no home" and "no shell". Advice on the right commands to create user and group would be much appreciated. I wouldn't mind advice on the how to remove user and group that I created and aren't working.
