I installed Tor and Privoxy (v 3.03), carefully following all instructions for Windows XP with IE browser. All firewalls have been turned off ...to the best of my knowledge. But regardless of which site I attempt to browse, I receive an Error page #503: "This is Privoxy 3.0.3 on localhost (127.0.0.1), port 8118, enabled," ... "Connect failed". My ISP is Roadrunner - does that have anything to do with the problem? Thanks for any tips you might be able to provide. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Date: 2006-08-29 14:48 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=875547 Your problem description sounds like a misconfiguration. Most likely your ISP has nothing to do with the problem. Please make sure your Tor client is working correctly and listening on the address where Privoxy expects it to. If you still see the problem, please describe your setup in more detail, and how it deviates from Privoxy's default configuration. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=211118&aid=1367197&group_id=11118 |
