new version released, fixes 2 major bugs in last version, see changelog for details.
ok, next version will be released tommorrow and will fix 2 bugs people have reported.
first: the magic line is missing and the program must be run as an arg to wish.
second: in the latest version i accidentally left my program config file in there, delete it and it will be replaced with yours which will contain the proper settings.
ok, some major fixes and improvements (check previous news item and changelog for details, go, download it now.
ok, next version will include many many bug fixes, many new features and some other junk, has been a while in developement, but it may just be useful for the first time. also, work will be started on the domain control section.
should be released either this evening or tommorrow.
ok, i think i got it fixed, just a few modifications to make and the next version is ready for release.
ok, i got half the printers section to work, but while trying to make the other half work, i screwed up the code entirely and now the thing will not run. i am getting help making the code work and thus the next release might not be for a few days, it should feature a working printers section and possibly the home section may auto fill by the version after.
i updated some of the screenshots, got to update the rest soon.... read more
ok, next version will have a self-fillingout windows section (i have already added this) and hopefully a printers section that does the same.
also, i will be updating screenshots.
ok, beta version 0.7.2 is now on the site, all the stuff in the setup section is now automatically filled out, next version will probably include dhcp capabiliies as well.
i have released 0.7 and 0.7.1, 0.7 is probably not worth the bandwith, i tard it simply as a backup because i thought the changes i was going to make in 0.7.1 might screw things up completely. seeing as itwas already tard i felt there was nothing to lose by uploading it.
there is now a domain panel section, it doesn't do anything yet though.
also: the setup section now gets some stuff out of config files to save you typing. next version it will hopefully get workgroup, hostname and nameserver as well.
enjoy.... read more
ok, there is the begginings of a settings section, so far it just allows you to change the smb.conf location, more stuff coming soon.
ok, next version will include an options dialog and panel icon.
version 0.7 (not for a few versions yet) will include a domain control dialog (first a preview then a working version).
this version includes improvements to the restore dialog. and a write button.
next version will include a scrollable restore dialog and a write icon instead of that ugly button.
added a nice restore dialog and icon.
will probably make the restore dialog scrollable next time.
the next version (0.6.5) will include a proper restore dialog and panel icon. maybe also commands to limit the number of backups to 20, or maybe that will have to wait until 0.7.
0.7.* may be the last beta releases, 1.0 is coming soon.
now features a restore to fix accidental destruction of config files (however: it will keep making backups every time you run it so delete them occasionally)
it now backs stuff up. restore function coming soon.
see previous news item for details.
next version will (hopefully include a working backup system)
ok, the next version fixes a know bug in the setup section.
now it will properly handle ips of different length.
i have written the neccessary code, now just to put it into the program.
this version fixes a bug (when you click save from the shareother section it now closes the section).
and a typo (preventing the homes section from working)
and added some whitespace.
adding screenshots today, there is a test screenshot there, but i will add some "actual" screenshots later.
ok, i have done all the documentation, i am waiting for sourceforge to approve it and put it on the site.
ok, right now there is just a couple of pages with dead links, that don't even show up properly.
having finished most of the programming, i will have plenty of time to finish the site properly.
ok, next version will include the 2 lines at the top that mean it does not have to be loaded with the compiler (although will still require one to be installled). some code layout improvements. and maybe (or maybe not for 1 more version) automated backup and archiving facilities.
ok, i am going to advertise for some testers today, if you are interested then email me at ico2ico2_at_gmail_dot_com
