Might I ask why you're dividing it up that way?

The traffic between Asterisk and iaxmodem needs to be low-latency, and also very low-jitter; thus, it's best to put them on the same host. (Also, for good results, your Asterisk system should be routing over a POTS trunk -- if you're sending fax calls over the Internet, jitter will kill you).

Beyond that, though -- see Q5 in the iaxmodem FAQ (http://iaxmodem.sourceforge.net/faq.php)

hello guys

I have installed asterisk and hylafax on machine A,
installed iaxmodem on machine B.

Now iaxmodem registered successful with asterisk,
but how can i set hylafax to work with iaxmodem?

I looked carefully the hylafax's setting file comment and googled many sites,
but i could not find how it can set to wotk with other machine.

I'm a newbie at this area(iaxmodem,hylafax...)
so,if  don't mind, counld anyone tell me the point?

Thanks.
