Hello, I've attached patches that provides new jack outputs for each track independently. This functionality allows you to treat hydrogen like a real miked drumset (mainly for recording purposes). The outputs are direct, only the velocity effects the output, not any of the other internal mixing ops (pan, level, etc). This allows for the most flexible handling of the tracks elsewhere, for effects processing, automation, etc. Obviously, using hydrogen more effectively with ardour is my motivation. The feature is a preferences option that is currently enabled by default in the patches. Because the instrument samples may be stereo, there are 32 new output ports added.... there's no reason you have to connect both the L and R when recording a discrete track with ardour, unless you know it is true stereo sample. One thing to note with the current version of ardour: the monitoring during recording is odd, you will probably want to mute the tracks you record from hydrogen and monitor hydrogen directly through its main outputs. Great software BTW, I look forward to further using and contributing to it. jlc |
