Since about a month, I can't connect to Hotmail using Httpmail. I get the little sign next to the Inbox in the Mail.app drawer, and when I click on it, I get this message:
Connect to oe.hotmail.com failed: 13
What can I do? Is this a (known) bug?

Any advice on this issue? I'm plagued with the same problem. I think my hotmail account is still checked in despite the error message, but I still get that message so it worries me..
Thanks in advance.

I have no idea what could be causing that error. From what I can see error 13 means "permission denied" and shouldn't be happening when trying to connect to a machine.

should have mentioned: when i go to the website, my login/pasword work, so that's not the problem.
i've been google'ing, and it seems others have it also when using outlook (express) on their pc's. the solution for them is to lower the security settings in IE. naturally, this won't help ;-)

sorry I've taken so long to reply. I've been a bit busy of late thanks to the arrival of my first daughter.
I've been getting reports of people having problems logging into MSN accounts for a while now. I'm still looking into it, but it may take a while.
Basically I need access to an account that is having the problem. Or a packet trace of a successful login from something like Entourage or Outlook Express would do as well.
