Running HTDIG 3.2.0b6 on RedHat 9.0.1.EL / Apache/2.0.46 / OpenSSL 0.9.7a
Running against RedHat 9.0.1.EL / Apache/2.0.47 / OpenSSL 0.9.6b

When trying to index an SSL site I get the following messages:
-----
     Header line: <title>400 Bad Request</title>
     Header line: <h1>Bad Request</h1>
Header line: <p>Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.<br />
Header line: Reason: You're speaking plain HTTP to an SSL-enabled server port.<br />
Header line: Instead use the HTTPS scheme to access this URL, please.<br />
-----

The request is being logged by Apache but returning code 400 (Bad Request).

I've found one reference to this issue here: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=2608661 but no resolution.

I would appreciate any suggestions on how to get this fixed. Thanks!
