Just recently this error has been given from the

    Greetings,

    Acroread isn't used to generate reports. It is probably
    called because you are trying to index a site containing
    .pdf files. What version of ht://Dig are you using?
    3.2.0b4 is fairly flexible in how it parses files. If you
    are using it, please send me your htdig.conf file, and the
    scripts it mentions.
