It is normal for statements to appear in the .log file, but not immediately in the .script file. The .script file is updated at checkpoint time. Procedures that insert data are working fine at the moment. Please use the latest snapshot from the http://hsqldb.org/support/ page. If you cannot SELECT the data you have inserted, try with the next snapshot due later today.
