I am rather curious why the development team decided to write their own data structures such as HashMap and Set and not just use the ones in the Java Collection Framework. Could someone please share more details as to what led to this decision?
Thanks in advance,
Because our data structures are faster, far more flexible and take up much less memory.
How about breaking them out into their own JAR and publishing them in the public maven repository?
We don't want to start answering questions about these utils and get constant suggestions for improvments. Anyone who wants to use them can use the hsqldb.jar
