    Dear All,
    Today, I have tried to install GNU-HH on a clean Deabian Sarge system from the latest tarball.
    modules.cgi was checked and ran smoothly, with nothing but OKs.
    The installation process went well, directories were created automagically, and permissions were set correctly. I set my admin user name, password, verified it, and logged in.
    Upon completion of the Server Conficuration/System Variables form, I pressed save, and received an internal server arror. This is the error message in my /var/log/apache2/error.log file:
    ---
    [Sun Oct 01 17:07:57 2006] [error] [client 125.234.96.11] Couldn't load Crypt::JnbWH6Y3HDUm9yv4DvPx: Can't locate Crypt/JnbWH6Y3HDUm9yv4DvPx.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.8.4 /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.4 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.8 /usr/share/perl/5.8 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at (eval 14) line 3., referer: https://secure.synalinq.net:20443/cgi-bin/gnuhh/admin/admin.cgi

    ---
    This error could be reproduced when calling admin.cgi from the command-line.
    I realise that the string JnbWH6Y3HDUm9yv4DvPx is the value of the enckey variable in .../cgi-bin/gnuhh/admin/program.cfg. I could not find ANY JnbWH6Y3HDUm9yv4DvPx.pm ANYWHERE on the system...
    Any Help, pleeze? I would love to give GNU-HH a serious try, so any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot, and till soon,
    Chris

    • Install Crypt::CBC from cpan and dont use the debian package.  Something in that package isn't quite right and causes problems.  Installation of Crypt::CBC from CPAN should solve the problem.
