I am using Broadcast2000c to generate a Quicktime image
with both an audio and video track. I'm then trying to
use encode to generate the MPEG of that file for
general distrubution. If I use MPEG-1, it runs, but I
don't get an audio track and the video is not converted
to the correct frame rate. If I use MPEG-2, it
segfaults early on:
[aeto@gecko aeto]$ encode test.qt test.mpg
Encoding: test.mpg frames 1600
15 frames between I frames 0 frames between P
10.00 frames per second

GDB's analysis is largely useless:
#0 0x80c0fd0 in cmodel_default
(though I suspect you know very well how useless GDB is
in a threaded application)
This is under 2.2.x kernel, though I am in the process
of moving to 2.4. I'm also running an older version
of libc, but compiled myself so should be linked
against the libraries I have. Do you REALLY depend on
features of 2.1.94 or later?
