I know that the only virtual difference between the R-5000 and 440S are the obvious tx vs. rx part. The 440S also has an extra bank of 100 memories, whereas the R-5000 doesn't. Something worth checking. I have good docs for the IC-10 command set, as published by Kenwood, and I thought I captured the majority of that in ic10.c.
