  • Compile Gxsm-2.0 and Gxsm-Manual on Ubuntu 13.04

This recipe was created on Lubuntu 13.04, but should work in any Ubuntu 13.04.

    As root install these packages:

    apt-get install cvs texlive autotools-dev libnetcdf-dev gnome-common libglib2.0-dev libgnomeui-dev libgtk-3-dev libquicktime-dev libgtkglext1-dev freeglut3-dev libfftw3-dev python2.7-dev bison byacc libnetcdfc7 libglib2.0-0 libglib2.0-bin libgnomeui-0 libgnomeui-common libgtk-3-0 libgtk-3-bin libgtk-3-common libfftw3-3 libquicktime2 quicktime-utils libgtkglext1 freeglut3 libgtkmm-2.4-dev

    This is supplementary material:

    apt-get install grace gri python-scipy python-scientific python-numpy

    As regular user run

    cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@gxsm.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/gxsm login

Press enter when a password is requested.

    cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@gxsm.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/gxsm co -P Gxsm-2.0
    cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@gxsm.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/gxsm co -P Gxsm-Manual
    cd Gxsm-2.0
    ./autogen.sh
    make
    sudo make install
    cd ../Gxsm-Manual
    make
    evince Gxsm-main.pdf

Let me know if this doesn't work out for you.
