Update- After i restarted my Ubuntu, it recognized the partitions. So i could then proceed through the rest of the sd card formatting and copying rootfile-system etc. I used this link that you recommended http://cumulus.gumstix.org/images/angstrom/developer/yocto/ The guide talks of u-boot.bin but only u-boot.img is availalbe in the above site. I hope using it doesn't create problems downstream. Thanks so much I hope i can finally startup old gumstix tomorrow On Wed, Jan 16, 2013 at 7:13 PM, jumpnowdev <sc...@ju...> wrote: > You can grab a script that will just partition an SD card here > > ftp://www.pansenti.com/duovero-softfp/mk2parts.sh > > Make it executable (sudo chmod +x ./mk2parts.sh) on your machine > and run it with sudo or as root like this > > $ sudo ./mk2parts.sh sdb > > After running that, see if the partitions are recognized and able to be > formatted. > > > > > -- > View this message in context: > http://gumstix.8.n6.nabble.com/Problems-connecting-to-Tobi-expansion-board-using-a-serial-monitor-tp4966434p4966471.html > Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Master Java SE, Java EE, Eclipse, Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript, jQuery > and much more.
