The issue may be with your SD card holder rather than the SD card itself. E.g. one of the spring contacts down inside may be stuck and lots its "springiness" Greg ________________________________ From: Jon Schewe <js...@bb...> To: gum...@li... Sent: Tuesday, August 21, 2012 9:20 AM Subject: [Gumstix-users] recommended SD card for booting I'm currently booting of the SD card on my gumstix and have found that many times the system won't boot because the gumstix says the SD card isn't there. If I push down on the top of the SD card with my finger when I apply power, then it always boots. Has anyone else run into this issue? Do you have any suggestions? Is it more reliable to boot off the NAND and then mount the SD card in Linux? The best I've been able to find searching Google is a recommendation for ATP if you need the temperature range, but I don't think that's my issue right now. However if someone tells me they boot more reliably, I'd give them a try. Thanks.
