The sysboot registers configure the peripherals used to boot the device. As you can view in Table 25-3, the recovery possibilities are good if the sysboot pins are biased to a preferred configuration. I don't have schematics for the Overo, and I don't currently have a JTAG to check those sysboot registers explicitly, but it seems that booting off an MMC card is one recovery method you could use. If you still want to use the NAND as before, boot into u-boot from an MMC, then write the desired data back into the NAND.
