I was hoping for a solution that wouldn't take order time, although that is my next step. I have asserted that the GPIO is functional (giving me 1.8 v), but only while the gumstix is connected to the expansion board. Does GPIO get set up before u-boot? I thought u-boot was the very first thing, and if u-boot gets set up then it would send at least something over serial.
