I'm working on a project that uses an Overo Fire COM and Chestnut43 with an LCD. We would like to add an MMC/SD card slot to our device, and the Chestnut43 overview (http://www.gumstix.com/store/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=237&show_tab=overview) suggests that the required signals are available on the 40-pin (unpopulated) header: Forty (40) signals available on 0.100" through-holes at 1.8V logic Two (2) two-wire serial ports One 1-wire port 6 PWM lines I2C port SPI bus 6 A/D input lines MMC/SD/SDIO interface processor control signals However, I do not see these signals explicitly listed on the 40-pin header webpage: http://www.gumstix.net/Documentation/view/I/O-connectors-cabling/Gumstix-Summit-board-40-pin-header-SV1/112.html and after looking at the schematic and layout, it appears that the MMC3 signals are not routed on the Chestnum43. I can only assume that some of the signals on the 40-pin header are muxed with MMC/SD signals and simply not labeled as such. If this the case, what pins acn be used to connect to an MMC/SD card? If MMC/SD signals are not available on the chestnut43, the chestnut43 webpage is misleading and needs to be updated. Regards, Patrick |
