I followed your instructions
- remove tmp/
- follow just first link

  - dpkg-reconfigure dash
  - used current ubuntu gcc (4.2)

it went past the error i was reporting.
i will get back to the list when the whole omap3-console-image build 
finishes to confirm if everything worked.
