Marc Thanks for the reply. I have a program, which was built on the old build root environment. The program is used to interpret incoming serial data packets. I didn't create the code an outside company did it. The Makefile is quite extensive and involves many header files and c++ programs that need to be link and compiled. I got the program to compile successfully, but when I installed it on the gumstix, I got the following error. Any ideas? root@gumstix-custom-verdex:~$ ipkg install Demo1_1.5-r5_armv5te.ipk Installing Demo1 (1.5-r5) to root... Nothing to be done An error ocurred, return value: 1. Collected errors: ERROR: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies for Demo1: libstdc++6 (>= 4.1.2) Corry ________________________________ From: gum...@li... Subject: Re: [Gumstix-users] FW: buildroot or oe If you still have your buildroot environment setup, or need to reset it up by checking out a particular buildroot version, building a new image and reflashing, there is no reason you cannot do that. U-boot is the same and procedure for reflashing is the same. Its my understaning that future gumstix development using buildroot is all but stopped. I'm sure Steve would be interested in your particular issues that stop you from accomplishing what you are trying to do in OE environment. Marc ________________________________ From: gum...@li... Can I go back to the legacy build root approach? V/R Capt Corry P.
