Hmmm.
Try passing in -- (which causes getopt to stop looking for options)
and then pass in the negative number.

So, something like:

gpio-event -- -58:f -59:r -60:b

I think that the :f :r :b stuff is required to be passed in, but is
ignored (so you should be able to pick whatever you like from r, f, or
b).
