I had the same dilemma, except that I'm better in C than in any other programming language, but I decided not to waste time on a code I'm not going to use. Do you have a Robostix ? If so, I can send you SPI driver that you can use _without_ any userland code to get ADC readings. It's not quite ready yet, but usable. Eventually (hopefully in 1 or 2 weeks) I'll post it to the Gumstix wiki. --- Marc Nicholas <gee...@gm...> wrote: > HI Andrei, > > I'd seen the stuff on the Wiki...I was looking for > other real world examples > :-) > > Actually, eventually I'd likely need to write a > character device driver that > used SPI...but initially I'm thinking I'll get my > feet wet talking to an SPI > device and returning data to userland...possibly a > web app. > > Plus, I'm a much better Python/Perl programmer than > I am C. > > -marc > > On 1/10/07, Andrei Rylin <ar...@ya...> wrote: > > > > Check this out: > > http://docwiki.gumstix.org/Sample_code/C/SPI > > May I ask why just "userland" ? > > > > --- Marc Nicholas <gee...@gm...> wrote: > > > > > I'd love to see some userland code for SPI from > > > anyone willing to share! > > > > > > -marc > > > > > > > |
