I've got kermit and lrzsz installed via fink, and this is my .kermrc: set line /dev/tty.KeySerial1 set speed 115200 set carrier-watch off set handshake none set flow-control none set reliable fast set prefixing all set file type bin set rec pack 4096 set send pack 4096 set window 5 set transfer protocol zmodem {rz} {rz} {sz -w 10000 %s} {sz -w 10000 - a %s} {rz} {rz} I think I had to add that last line at some point because the rz/sz wasn't set up right by default for clean zmodem transfers.
