I'm looking to battery-power my gumstix/breakout board/wifistix combination and have a few questions. =20 It seems accepted knowledge that three 1.5V batteries are required to power the gumstix. The enclosure I am looking to put my gumstix in has room for only two AA batteries, so I'm seeking an alternate solution. =20 Does anyone have experience with using single Li-Ion batteries? I'm looking at http://www.all-battery.com/index.asp?PageAction=3DVIEWPROD&ProdID=3D477. 3.6V is very close to the minimum recommended 3.5V, and 800mAh is not much capacity. With two wired in parallel, though, I'm hoping for between half an hour and an hour of battery life. I can recharge and replace batteries frequently, so this would be sufficient if it worked. I imagine wiring them in parallel could be done by rewiring the enclosure's battery compartment. =20 I'd appreciate any advice or comments people could give. =20 Regards, =20 Russell Silva |
