Question from a very old Newbie: I'm trying to "make" the buildroot. Following the directions on the Wiki... I do: svn co http://svn.gumstix.com/gumstix-buildroot/trunk gumstix-buildroot [works OK, now I've got a gumstix-buildroot directory] Then , I do: cd gumstix-buildroot make defconfig make ["make" grinds along for quite a while until it hangs up in a loop, trying to fetch, apparently, the gcc bzip archive from ftp.ibiblio.org. This ftp fetch fails, and keeps repeating endlessly the sequence below.] **************make typescript copied from host machine****************** --13:27:07-- ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/mirrors/gnu/ftp/gnu/gcc/gcc-3.4.5/gcc-3.4.5.tar.bz2 (try:13) => `/home/tony/gumstix-buildroot/dl/gcc-3.4.5.tar.bz2' Connecting to ftp.ibiblio.org[152.46.7.80]:21... connected. It looks as if some machine in the bowels of ibiblio is dead. Have I forgotten to set some config var? Tony Michel Lexington MA P.S.
