Yes, I'm using a CF GPRS modem (Hamlet for 180 Euros). I did not want to work on new hardware (pcb drawings, board engineering, etc) so I decided to go with the CF. It's working but I have not tryied it on a NetStix yet (just on a CFStix) so I don't know if power will be a problem as reported by other users. If somebody has some advice it will be welcomed. I'm not sure about these, but I use a siemens mc-35i via serial port, and altough this module doesn't drain more than a few ma most of the time, when transmitting it can burst up to 2A. I have a power supply able to sustain 2A on load, and both devices are connected to it, but I suspect that when using a netcf, if your cf card is hungry, then you may encounter power issues, not sure because I never used one myself. The bad thing about such modules as mc35i is that while it's size is quite almost identical to some cf gprs cards i've seen out there, it's not user friendly at all: you need to do a child board for it, etc. But it maybe a solution for your case, should netcf proves to be useless under this scenarip. - Alexandre ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
